Anak umi dah boleh diharap

It was a very2 touching experience(at least for me). Jap gi umi masuk bilik. Umi nak sidai baju kejap". Tapi semalam Amnah macam refused jek nak tengok tv or main dengan Akhtar. Rupa-rupanya dia nak tolong umi sidai pakaian.

Mula2 nampak macam makin membanyakkan kerja umi jek, sebab dia asyik jek keluarkan kain baju basah tuh dari bakul dan letak ke lantai. Then , letak balik dalam bakul sambil sebut2 nama tuan punya baju yang diambiknya tuh.

Then, dia start ambik satu demi satu baju basah, pass kat umi, untuk umi gantung kat hanger. Oh...baru la saya faham. Amnah nak jadi assistant umi. Memang nampak macam kecik and almost nothing, but for a mother with two babies, having somebody to help even the littlest task is really helpful and has made a difference. Memang kerja menyidai pakaian saya semalam cepat habis dan mudah daripada biasa. Even abah Amnah pun kagum tengok Amnah semalam.

Thank you a lot Amnah. Umi is so proud of you :)

Makan-makan for leaving friends

A few of our friends here in Norwich are going back to M'sia for good. In fact, one family had already departed yesterday, and another one will follow tomorrow. Suhaimi and Huda are already in M'sia at this time . Tahir and Nunik perhaps are busy doing the last minutes packing up, for their flights would be very2 early in the morning, tomorrow. While Zul and Miza...hmm, they have quite some time to pack up. They won't be going back until January. So you won't miss the Christmas and boxing sales dear. As for Cu, you still have till the end of the month before flying back, so enjoy.

Me and hubby had aranged a 'farewell party' for these leaving people last Sunday. Alhamdulillah, eveything went well. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food(nasi putih, sayur pedas labu air dan timun, ikan goreng dan panggang, sambal belacan dan budu, kek buah keju, tiramisu, teh susu) and also the accompany of each other. We talked well, we laughed and we kutuk2 sket :) Some photos were taken, and to end the night, we apologized to each other, for every wrongdoings...and wished we would meet again, someday in M'sia.

Tetamu dari Manchester

Posted by Tg Suriyanor at 23:13 3 comments

Congratulations.(On the bright side, Brighton is way way nearer to Norwich compared to Manchester, hence easier for us to visit each other ;)

Afzan (with hubby, Faizul and son, Farish) were going for a 'tengok2 rumah' session in Brighton that weekend, so they decided to come and pay us a visit here in Norwich. This was their first time in Norwich, but due to time limit we couldn't really take them to any interesting sites. They arrived on the Saturday night and would be headed back to Machester on Sunday afternoon. So the most feasible and suitable place to go was... car boot sale! Not a problem actually coz like me, Afzan is also a boot sale fan. but the weather was not really on our side. Since autumn is coming to the end, the boot sale also was not as 'semeriah' as always. Cuaca sangat sejuk, tangan pun macam dah ala2 beku, nak tengok barang pun tak best. You should really come during summer time, a whole different situation then. More more merrier! But,not quite frustrating, banyak jugak hasil tangkapan.

Afzan was a friend from UTP. Not really a friend. She and I have blood relation actually. Quite complicated to explain, but to make things easy we always refer to ourselves as cousins :) We both share the same dreams on being mommies who own businesses so that we would have more opportunities to look after our own children. Afzan has started with hers(despite of juggling with her studies). Me? Very2 soon I would say. Most probably, I would still be going back to work when we go back to Malaysia next year for I have promised hubby and mom to do so(we have to stabilize things first). But I still hope that I can come out with some brilliant ideas and start this business thingy in no time. So anybody with golden ideas out there, care to share with me? :)

Alhamdulillah

Remember I mentioned about Akhtar's facial skin problem in my last entry ?
Alhamdulillah, after 3 days of applying the cream and anti biotic given by the GP, looks like the redness is dissappearing :) Me and abang are soooo happy! Akhtar is happy too. Yeah...we can tell because he has been able to sleep through the nights without even a single scratching act on the face. He also laughs and smiles more, no more crying and whining and yes...he looks a lot more cuter now ;)

New words, new cream

Posted by Tg Suriyanor at 12:45 0 comments
It is always amazing to see how your child can come out with new vocabs every different day. Amnah is in the phase of absorbing (almost) every new word she happened to encounter . And every time she says the new words out loud, I make sure that I praise her for being such a very clever girl. Deep inside in my heart, I can't help from being very proud and am so thankful to Allah for this gift. This morning, while I was preparing Akhtar after the morning bath, Amnah as usual would be playing with her toys as she watching the CBeebies channel. There was this scene where the kids were playing with bubbles. Then I heard Amnah said (almost shouting) for a few times,"Bubbles!,Bubbles!". So I came to think, her new word for today would be bubble. That's good.
But, in the afternoon, Amnah once again proves to me that watching TV has a lot of benefits. She now can recognize mouse as well when she said the word very clearly as soon as she saw the girl on TV playing with her pet mouse. So the two new words for today are Bubble and Mouse. And Oh, Amnah also recognized Sun when she saw me and Abang draw one to her today, after being repeated for a few days. So three words altogether for today. Bravo!
As for Akhtar, we went to the surgery this afternoon to see the GP regarding his skin problem. Dr Press was quite shocked to see that his facial skin has became redder than last week. Since the cream prescribed last week was not working, he came out with another cream to reduce the redness and itchiness. He also supplied us with antibiotics, so hopefully these would help. Kami dah tak larat nak tengok merah2 dekat muka Akhtar. Kesian, OK. He gives another week to see how it goes. So, by next week kita tengok la macam mana.
Till later.

Ola !

For months, years maybe, I have been such a loyal reader to so many blogs. Some are so inspiring they just keep persuading me to create one on my own. But somehow, there were some teeny tiny thoughts in my mind which keep bothering me with questions. What are you gonna blogging about? You didn't even like those essay assignments when you were in school. Will you have enough time to write? What if that...what if this...bla..bla... and I stop thinking about blogging, and continue with reading. But then things keep coming back to the square one. The drive to have a blog is so strong, I wouldn't mind if I cannot write as much as others. Just the thought of putting my mind into words is already exciting. So, being very brave today, I officially created and wrote the very first entry. I don't know when my next entry will be, but for now, enjoy this one. Tata!
